Since becoming Chancellor, Mr Darling has had a pretty rough ride. The Northern Rock problems, proposed tax for non-domiciled tax payers and the U-terns on capital gains tax have not improved the Chancellors standing in the City - according to The Daily Telegraph, 80% of City experts surveyed in a new poll said that he should not remain Chancellor.
